Taxi / Cab / Van for passengers from your town to nearest major airport. You can pick passengers from their homes who book in advance and also drop at their home. Name it as a shuttle of your town. Make a website and allow passengers to book thru credit card.

Consider developing a business from an activity or hobby that you currently enjoy doing. If you can turn a hobby or activity that you really like or have a passion for into a business then you will be happy most of the time and also make money at it to boot.

Here is my idea.

Create assets that you can sell over and over again. Everyone has information that someone else wants to learn from. Even our failures can help teach someone else something, especially if we learned from those failures. Write about those things and put a book together. Chances are you can write more than one of those books. I am sure that you have had more than a single experience in your life.

Make a list of everything that you have ever done and know about. The good the bad and the ugly. Write about each of those things. You can place small stories all over the internet that offer click and pay. You could make videos and put them on line as well. Many places pay for each person that visits. Make sure that you offer to sell your book or other information that you may have on the subject.

It will take a lot of time to put this all together but once you do it you can make money over and over again. And if you don't make any money? Write more till you have the thing that brings in the money.

Real estate or collectibles so at least you own some asset if things go south.

I agree with real estate, I do believe you can start with this amount. Look into wholesaling first (where you put a property under contract and then basically sell the contract to another buy for more money) You won't necessarily need the money to BUY the property ..but to do it right you will need to spend some money on marketing.

The OP hasn't been back since he started this thread, so evidently, he is not all that serious.

But for someone who is:
Learn Arabic. Work your buns off and practice until you can speak with regional accents. Then set out to find opportunity.

Learn Calligraphy: Create a business by calling on printers and offering your services for those who need to print of wedding invitations and the like.

Sounds like some good advice regarding Arabic. Chinese would probably be another good one to know.

Yeah that wholesaling is gone, the Carlton Sheets Real Estate secrets are out.

Flipping contracts relies on quick turnaround something today's lending doesn't do well. Sellers want cash buyers so the "put it under contract" and resell before the closing model won't work.

Hopefully original poster still has their 30K in a bank account too!

Arabic? Really? Calligraphy? I would be willing to bet there are computers that print that stuff now, no need for hand stenciling.

THWACK your pee-pee for calling it stenciling! The White House employs three of them. Top hand gets 96K/yr. Everyone knows what computer fonts are available, so if you really want class, you gotta have it done by a pro.
I'm betting it takes a long time, and takes some natural talent honed to an art level.
