Well, that is of course your choice - I respect that -

I have to say however, we regularly enjoy shows where we have spent 300 / 400 or more per ticket - plus the nice dinner out that includes a great bottle of wine etc - In LV, its not a problem to drop $1500 / $2000 for a nice evening out

Besides, Las Vegas only has a couple of libraries

Who are these parents who have that kind of money to throw around ridiculously? My gosh, buy each kid the music at itunes and a nice ipod... and save $700.00+!

I wonder how many empty seats remain at the concerts at showtime? I wonder how good the production really is? Is it mind-blowing? I would be seriously upset if the sound or performance was off in any way.

I find it hard to believe that Hannah Montana could be mind blowing. She's a Disney character from a Disney t.v. show - that isn't even her real name.

Most, if not all, seats will be filled - SRO

An adult version of this would be the 182 "Final" World Tour of Cher a couple of years ago - I have to admit - I am a BIG Cher fan. I got a break on the price and still paid 500 each - AND, there was an absolute CRUSH of people - STANDING - not sitting (the fire marshall had to have been going nuts!).

People will pay for this type of entertainment -

There actually is a lot of money out there

That isn't her NAME? Then what is her name and why is she using a fake name? I thought she might be Joe Montana's daughter or something!

The whole thing is based off of a Disney tv show called Hannah Montana. She's the daughter of come country singer which I can't think of right off the bat - Cyrus something?
Like I said, glad I have a son.....

Her name is Miley Cyrus...She is Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter....yeah, I have a teenage daughter. lol However, she isn't dumb enough to even WANT to spend that much money to go see her, much less even ask.

Here's the two of them together.

We actually saw him in concert about a year ago, but the tickets were only $25-$35 and if you were a "local" it was buy one get one FREE!

Maybe it is not the kids that want it, just the parents want to say they got tickets... like some sort of warped status thing... these are the same individuals, who go along with the "hot toy for this christmas season" nonsense. Anyone remember furbies, or tickle me elmos, or cabbage patch kids?

I wanted to see the "bay city rollers" too... I didn't get to, and I am still here and a well adjusted individual.

Personally the fees that ticket master charges and the way the "entertainment" industry is skewed against your average concert goer makes me sick. And I am to the point where I am refusing to go to see any big arena stuff anymore. I will go support the small local talent and clubs and avoid the "ticketmaster" and scalpers thank you very much.

We missed out on tickets for the show in Ft Lauderdale last month, but we got an e-mail inviting us to buy tickets to the newly added Miami show January 31. My wife got 4 tickets this AM at $66 each, which is ticket price.
I have a 7 year old daughter, and this is by far her favorite show. I find it slightly entertaining as well, and I enjoy the interaction between Miley and her Dad. We would not pay a scalper, but at issue price we will go to the show!

Same thing happened here ... tickets sold out in a matter of minutes. I had no idea who Hannah Montana was either ... then saw on the local news all the upset parents with little girls crying because they didn't get a ticket. The performance here was filmed and going to be shown at a local theater.
