I want to pay my taxes because I DON'T WANT PROBLEMS WITH THE IRS esp. audits. However, everytime a tax question is asked it seems like people here beat up on the poster. You are a tax evader!
I bought a cup of coffee this morning and the clerk didn't charge me sales tax. A tax zealot will come here and say, "You need to go back to that 7-11 and give them the .06 that they didn't take this morning."
I just came here to ask if I'm on the right track in paying the taxes according to my bracket. Do I need some sort of special Form XYZ? That's the kind of advice I'm looking for. Not a lecture.
I think you would just use a Schedule C. Look at all the categories and see what expenses you can deduct. Shipping and ebay/paypal fees can be found by downloading your history on PayPal.
