Hey guys,
Just wondering where to get some help: briefly I went to a Rogers store in TD square in downtown Calgary on April 8th to check if my unlocked Telus phone would work w/ Rogers' SIM card (I was looking for ChatR but those T-Booth ppl sent me to Rogers on 3rd floor). The Rogers ppl gave me a detached SIM card and I was able to slide it in in my BB9900, and they said it worked. However when they pulled their SIM card out of my phone (I was only able to get the centerpiece out while the two outer frames stayed in), one of their guys they call 'Sam' pulled it so hard that the three of my four pins in my BB9900 were bent in the other direction, and my phone did not work after I put my Telus card back). They told me to look for Telus ppl but when I went out just a few steps away to check out my damage, one of the pins fell off.
I went back and a girl named Chantal denied everything, her logic is since you're the one who touched it so if it's broken it's your fault. They accused me of damaging my own phone. That Chantal girl said she called her manager and her manager would've said the same thing.
What makes it even worse was the security ppl @ TD sqr. They said you were raising your voice so you had to be out of the store while I was arguing with the Rogers, and they threatened they could detain me. I replied by suggesting they were abusing their power I think it triggered them: those security guys kept rotating on spying me and tailing me. What I was doing was simply contacting Rogers without havong my phone. They claimed they were escorting me so that I would not go back to the store. They eyed me for 2 hours and finally they 'escorted' me out and even verbally gave me a ban.
In this city if you try to defend your rights, this is what will happen to you. I don't know if this is the right place to put this thread but does anyone know how should I protect my right by going to some resources? Rogers customer line won't help you at all.
Why would you give information about "Ontario " when the OP is in Alberta ?

That's where Rogers Communications Head Office is, and their Office of the Ombudsman is located.
