The state of California has already began automatically depositing state disability checks into bank accounts. And for those that don't have their new debit cards and in for a rude awakening. Because the state deposited the checks and then mailed out the cards.
If you expect your check to come in the mail, you will be very disappointed.
My mom had this happen to her, she went to check her mail and there was a letter that was suppose to be her check. But it was an actual letter stating that her check was deposited and they sent out her debit card.

She called bank of America, and they said that she could not touch her money until she got her card. My mom is flat broke and no food. She tried everything to get her money. the bank just basically turn their nose up at her.
She then called the state and they said that her card was mailed out on Monday the 20th and it will take 7-10 business days for her to get her card.

so everyone please be aware that you will no longer be getting your paper checks. And if you don't have a bank account associated with your check already. Expect your money to sit at Bank of America until you receive your debit card. And it would a waste of time for you to call and complain because it will go on deaf ears.

Your mom should get her debit card this coming monday. Bank of America is total trash & ranked # 1 as the worse in customer service (chase is #2 & citibank is #3).

You mom should consider switching to a credit union or smaller bank like US Bank.

my mom didn't chose this bank, the state choose it for her. She didn't even know that they were doing this.
