Much of it is vintage Jerry Brown but with a bit of a twist. It's going to make the coming year fun and interesting to watch. I have to say, if anyone can get changes made, he likely has the best chance to do so.

Upon entering office, Brown's tone is muted - ContraCostaTimes.com

How now, Jerry Brown? Past may be prologue as his third term begins - ContraCostaTimes.com

Dead Kennedy sing about Jerry Brown. But I dont think CA will be any worse off than what the governator did. lol. Hopefully things will get better
On a side note: The rest of the U.S. aint doing much better, though they will claim they are. Guess we will see.

It seems Arnold is getting criticized all over the place [even booed at a recent Laker game] but he tried to do what is best for California. Brown can't afford to hesitate and will likely go after fellow Democrats more than Republican lawmakers [maybe because there aren't many Republicans anyway ]. I think Brown will approach the voters later in the year asking for a tax hike which will likely be approved so long as he demonstrates the ability to govern.

People will complain about tax hikes or budget cuts. It has to be one way or another so everyone should suck it up!

Sucking up is hard to do when your property rates increase 60% like parts of Chicago. Can you imagine the exodus? Granted there is still the evil Prop 13 to deal with but they can fee you to death around that like they have been. Development will likely stall with the new Green Energy Code firmly in place and if there are new/high development fees and I was related to construction in any way, I would be heading for TX. But the OP is right, will be an interesting study.

I'm not interested in Texas. I was born in California and a legal citizen as is my parents and their parents. If and when I go will be on my terms but with what the progressive liberals have done to California, destroyed a once great state, I'm starting to make my plans to leave.
