I've spent the past week since I got confirmation of where we were moving (grad school acceptances finally came in) reading everything I could find here. I'm now shocked I didn't get scammed on my last big-ish move since I knew none of this. Guess I lucked out!

From what I can tell it looks like ABF or BE would book me for this move now. ABF even says to book as early as possible since their equipment is limited and I know both the summer and the end/beginning of any month are the busiest times. But like any mover they can't give an estimate until 60 days before. Am I going to lose my chance to use BE or ABF waiting or am I being way too paranoid? .

Thanks in advance for everyone's help

We used ABF for our move from California to Missouri - 2,000 miles - and it was a satisfying experience. You're right about summer moves. That's when most families make them, including military, while the children are out of school.

I think, perhaps, you're being just a wee bit too worried, however.
