Hi. I used to live in So. California. I lived in LA and South OC. I loved South OC and wanted to buy property there. Real Estate was so expensive and some of my relatives convinced me to move to Dallas, Texas since real estate was so much more affordable.

I moved last year and as much as I love my house, I'm not a fan of Texas or Texans! Plus DFW does not have much to offer in terms of night life.

I miss the beaches, people and city life. I worked in NYC for 3 years and loved the city life but was not a fan of winter =P

I am choosing between LA, San Francisco, South Beach- Miami FL, or San Diego.

I know that I want to be near the water again even if it's a bay. If someone can help me decide which place is best for singles in her 30's, that would be awesome. I know that no place will be perfect, but at least now I know that Texas is not for me.

Thanks!

How do you like the summers in Dallas? Picture that but steamier in South Florida. I really like South Beach but can only stand it in low doses. I just moved back from Hawaii and am truly burned out on rain and humidity. Small deco condos in Sobe and Miami Beach are still reasonable despite the recent real estate boom. I'm still considering buying one for investment. SoBe offers the warmest, friendliest ocean of the places you listed. San Francisco is great...it's like a suit that looks great on a mannequin but it's really not my stile. I still try it on from time to time. My beef with San Francisco is that I usually get sick after being there 2 or 3 days. My bod doesn't agree with wind or cold. What I do like about it is that it's a very walkable place and has lots of things going on culturally. It's also pretty. San Diego is a nice place to visit but I could never live there because it's really boring. Everything rolls up so early. Los Angeles is my true home. I've traveled a lot and moved around and it's the most dynamic, exciting, most wonderful place I've ever lived. New York has that "center of the universe" feel but I can't stand the winters either. L.A. has everything I want, right in one place. Everything I want is right here.

If you liked the OC, you might like San Diego. It's the most like it of the places you listed.
