I know what you mean about bad roads... my city said secondary streets are paved every 120 years at the city council meeting.

The roads are so rough in some areas that you'd think there's a speed bump every few feet.

I received my motorcycle renewal notice on 07/09/2011 and it is due on the 12th! I will renew online.

Last year when I bought my motorcycle brand new the DMV fee was 149$. The renewal is 132$. I guess I should not complain...but I can't wait to see my car renewal DMV fee.

Just wait buddy boy. Get the lube ready. I got mine yesterday and the corn cob reaming I got still hurts.

Hmm... I just bought a new car in May and my fee was lower than I was expecting (less than $300). It would be nice if next year it was lower.

I still don't see why my 1985 Chevrolet truck should cost $180 a year?

It is only used when necessary and never for transportation... recently, a fill-up cost $130 and much of that is tax.

Last year I drove it 2138 miles and yesterday I got my renewal in the mail and mandatory smog check required... when I bought it, smog check only applied to vehicles 25 years and newer...

It is not inexpensive to own a vehicle in California and the much touted reduction only counts when it effects the bottom line and negated, at least in my circumstance by other fee increases.

If it is over 5000 lbs you get reemed on the weight fee. What was the fee for the weight? $154 for my 1998 Chev Silverado which weighs 5080. However my 1999 Chev Silverado is $80 because it weighs 4995, almost double. Absolute Bull**** I know.

I never got one single notice in the mail for mine. In 2010 I paid about 87 dollars for my registration for my 1993 TOYOTA CAMRY. My record is completely clean, and I'm up to date with everything. 2011 rolls around and I owe 279 dollars. WTF?! This is absolute bull****. For 2012 I owe 244 dollars...which is still ludicrous. I started a petition to see if I can get something going. Here it is.... THANK YOU.

Those fees don't match what would be charged for a 1993 car. What does it say on your renewal notice? Late fees? Parking tickets? Everything is itimized on the renewal notice.
