Hello everyone, I'm currently living in Ohio but I have the opportunity to relocate to the west coast (out of my own pocket) and keep my current job provided I can procure broadband access. So far I have found a few wireless and satellite internet providers around the Eureka area, but nothing pointing as a persistent broadband connection like DSL, cable or fiber. Given that my job requires remote connections as a systems administrator and frequent video conferences, I'm kinda stuck unless I can find some concrete info.

I'm also not adverse to suggestions for other coastal and near coastal towns to relocate to - Medford, Or is still a standby but I'd like to avoid snow if and at all possible given the decades of snow here in Ohio.

I have hispeed DSL through Suddenlink. You might want to give Access Humboldt a call. They are the local agency that was heavily involved in getting our redundant broadband. 707-476-1798. Suddenlink's local number is 877-443-2486. S'Link just changed hands. Not sure what that augurs.
