This is a video that was done by a local person. Please watch it when you get a chance.

Dear friends,

As the River Goes

We attended the Porterville Premier of this short documentary last night. We live in this area, and we know about this subject, and we were still deeply moved by this.
The producers want to make it a full length documentary, and get the word out about the drought's effects on so many people. Including YOU, no matter where you live.
I urge you to watch the documentary, And think about contributing to the continuing efforts of the young filmmakers. But at LEAST...please watch. You know nothing until you do.

And, please share

According to the video, On April 15, 2015 Gov Brown appropriated over 1billion dollars for drought relief in California.

So far, for some unfathomable reason, Porterville does not qualify for any of these funds. There are over 500 homes out of water here. There's water down there but these people are too poor to have their wells deepened.

Please watch the film. It's only 18 minutes long. It won't kill off your bandwidth. Or do all you coastal people still regard us as the scum of the earth and not worthy of your time?

Sorry to hear that. I think the Tulare County legislators need to draft immediate emergency legislation for state and federal funding. It would seem like at the very least there could be zero of very low interest loans to have the wells deepened.

Huh. Interesting way to make me care. By insulting me. No, wait, you insulted yourself.

I was going to watch your video until this statement and I don't even live anywhere near you.

Bottom line this is not the concern of most of those who live outside of the area affected and it really is nothing personal because most people who do not live in the area know anyone who is directly affected.
