Hi there,
I'm looking to move to Bakersfield next month for a new job. Looking for apartment recommendations for something that is going to be close to Kern Medical Center? Looking for something that's safe, quiet and close by. It'll just be me by myself so looking for something that offers one bedroom options hopefully.

Thanks

Hi I don't know your budget but you did mention safe and quiet and I feel I should let u know it may be hard to find something like that in that area as it is known for having more crime and such. However not to say you couldn't find a nice, quiet, safe place in that area but it may be more of a challenge. If you don't mind more commute and again I don't know your budget but i would recommend looking into the northwest or parts of the southwest part of town. There are also some nice pockets sprinkled in others parts of town as well.

Thanks, I don't mind a huge commute like 15-20 minutes or so is fine. However, I would need to live in an apartment. I am not looking to buy. any specific recommendations? thanks

The northeast side is pretty nice by Fairfax and the 178. Plus it's a little cooler since it's closer to the mountains. For sure avoid anything on the east side south of the 178.
