Beautiful design! Looks more like a Bay Area houseboat, than a Seattle one, though, with that wall of windows on one side. Would be drafty and hard to heat during those rainy, cold winters.

Why is Hillsborough trying to demolish her property? From one of the videos, it looks to me like it's built on marginal land with a freeway in the backyard, basically. It's making use of property no one else would be likely to want. The design of it would fit right in, in New Mexico, especially Taos, where there's a community of "earth ship" houses, built semi-underground, and where adobe architecture, round rooms, and clay fireplaces are common.

I guess Hillsborough isn't Taos, lol. Taos is one of the last hippie holdouts in the US. Different building codes, I imagine.

I think that the Flintstone House is really creative and cool I also think that the people who are complaining about it are a bunch of tight-arse snobs and really, doesn't the city have anything better to do than make an issue over the house? It looks like the property is well kept.

I hope that she gets somewhere with her complaint.
