It has long been the standard in California that if, for example:

* Family moves from another state to California and applies for benefits
* Family receives (making up a number) $500 a month
* Family moves to another state that only pays $300
* California will continue to pay the difference of $200 a month even though the family no longer lives here.

I don't recall the name of the program--kind of like the "illegals don't receive benefits"-thing. Call it a different program and everyone pretends it doesn't exist.

Yet another thread where somebody who doesn't live here gets all worked up about CA myths. Honestly people, is this the best use of your time?

And it's almost always a rumor about supposed "benefits" to poor people that starts the saliva spewing. Never a rant about how stacked the deck has become in favor of the uber-wealthy in this country.

It's called "thinking critically" and "having perspective". And even if true, I also try not to take personal offense whenever some random person does something bad.

To each, their own. I still find California to be an amazing place to live.

What you don't know won't hurt you right Mr. Zero? Since I do not live in California I don't give two hoots in hell about California as long as it does not affect me in Nebraska. My Dad lived in Santa Cruz the last ten years he was alive and he loved it. I have relatives living in the area now and they are planning on leaving as soon as they can. It is too bad because CA was once a great place.
If you don’t give two hoots in hell about California, why are you posting here?

Question of the month, eh?

But the answer is obvious:
Any opportunity to troll California (and the poorest among us) is a great opportunity.

Happy holidays!

That's right. That's absolutely, positively correct.

I’m wondering if the OP is jealous about the benefits given to California residents since he can’t qualify in his own home state.

Happy holidays Mutt!!

Always ... always ... punch down, eh?

(If you haven’t got a punch worth squat, at least you can pick on the weak.)
