Interesting, but is it a fair comparison since the Southern counties are so much larger? If they could break it up a little down there, it might change the list dramatically (other than the top 3-5 counties which are overwhelmingly more affluent).

Well, Santa Clara County has almost 2 million residents, so maybe 60-70% the population of the major SoCal counties (excluding LA County which is much larger than all others in the state).

I think this is really showing the effect of the Tech Industry across the Bay Area, where there's really a large % of households that are making a LOT of money. If you look at major industries in SoCal, such as Entertainment, the % of people really "making it" is much smaller. Yes, they have Tech as well in LA/OC, but its not nearly the same size. Same goes for SD County with Biotech.

IS THIS GROSS OR NET?

My small business grossed around $169K for 2019.

Waiting for the CPA to crunch the numbers

I live in San Diego Ca and work from home

This year slower maybe by 1/4 but I understand the issues in the world today and I appreciate the chance to help donate and work on improving my publications to provide something that is useable and sustainable.

Placer County is kind of interesting to me at that high level- at least from what I know of it - grew up decades ago in a still lower income Gold Country area a couple of counties away. What am I missing - wealthy folks escaping The City or Sac but not ready yet to fully embrace Lake Tahoe?
