I'd go for the Folsom house overlooking the water. I also like a view over let's say a golf course. Everyone has their preferences.

Just for fun, here's a million dollar home in Carmel which I would choose over the others if given the option. I love Carmel by the Sea. And the views from this area of sunsets over the ocean are phenomenal. A friend lives over there and its really an awesome little neighborhood. Getting in under $2 million is becoming more and more of a challenge. Appreciation in that area is crazy and will always occur given its prime location and proximity to the gorgeous coastline, Big Sur, Pebble Beach, Santa Cruz, etc... along with the its rich California history.

That house does nothing for me. It's not ugly, but something is off with it. Gorgeous views tho and it's an excellent location. I'm sure it will sell quick.

I decided not to use a coastal location because that would have been too easy of a decision

Yeah, when you're looking at homes along the coast its all about the land, views and proximity to the water. That is unless you're extremely wealthy. Then you go for something like this:

Foe the greater Sacramento area, I would also want to be relatively close to the lake.

I pick the house in Nebraska. The key selling point for me is the one acre lot.

The Sacramento house is over improved for the neighborhood. Its a huge flip job. Notice it sold for $725K in Sept 2020. The houses on that street are 1,100 sq ft 700k houses. Also the Sac house does not have an attached garage. For a luxury home I need a minimum of a 3 car attached garage.

I do not like how the other homes look down on the Fresno home. Also no usable yard. Hard pass on that one. I probably could find a Fresno home that I like much better at half of that price.

I will pass on the Folsom home due to no usable yard and the dangerous looking stairs in pic 44.

I like this nearby home better than any of the three CA homes. Note the nice backyard in pics 40-45. Bonus points for the 4 car garage.

You're overpaying on the Fresno house for the isolation(it's far from riff Raff) and golf course. You can def find nicer away from that neighborhood for less.

Yeah, the Nebraska house is ace
Thanks for your 2 cents

I like the house in Fresno the best, but not a fan of the location (it's Fresno). Folsom is a very nice location, but it looks more like a typical tract home.

Just to keep things in perspective . . . the Sacramento house exterior isn't exactly outdated for what it is. It's a historic/vintage house built in 1920. That was one of the popular styles in that era 100 years ago.

Aside from that I'll pass on all of them and hold out for the Carmel one, even though I know it's not officially in the game.

Haha, Carmel for win!! lol

Sorry to throw in that wildcard, BTW. But if we're talking fantasy $million homes, that's where my mind goes pretty quickly leaving the rest as a far distant afterthought. Just a preference, of course. I can feel that clean, ocean breeze coming through the window now whether during the peak of summer or middle of winter.

Here was a view from our home in Monterey. The sights, sound of the waves breaking at night and feel of sand under one's feet. It was magic no four walls anywhere could replace.

And of course a walk along the beach in Carmel, priceless.
