Dealing with Medi-Cal has been terrible

I got my card in the mail today, about three weeks after the previous contact.

True local governments often treat people getting these benefits like they are second class citizens, or third class on the titanic or similar vessels of the time. yes they even have a different security line outside the building and not the one in the lobby for those headed to other departments within the same building..

I remember taking a family member to one location that forbids any parking in the parking lot not even with a handicapped person w/placard where there the only one wheelchair space in the area exists the security would chase them out, the lot is just for show. And have to park blocks away of uneven sidewalks. Also that they require people to go up a steep ramp to the third floor and cannot use the elevator going up as the bottom door is restricted access. Some nicer supervisors may let you go down in it though.

In short I think it’s strategic the local government looks down upon those getting Medicaid as they know they are poor and are begging the state for benefits.
