Hi Everybody,
Just wanted to get a general consensus of those thinking or are in the process of Moving In... or Moving Out of California. According to reports there has been more people moving out of California in the last 2 years than moving in (domestic migration). With housing prices going down... are people thinking of coming back...or moving in?

People leave for two reasons: Affordable housing and to escape the overpopulation, high taxation, illegal alien pandering, etc. Lower housing may lure back some of the first group, but not the second. Lots of people wouldn't move back here if you paid them.

If I weren't broke, I'd move home to CA in a heartbeat.

Well, we'll wait for you until you're not broke.
"This too shall pass".
And if California falls into the ocean before you can relocate, you'll be closer to the Arizona coast.

Hey, you don't have to be rich to take part in California. You just have to bunk up. Many young Californians have room mates... often times that ends up pretty cool too.

Well, I know that. I do plan on living in a modest apartment with my boyfriend. I just heard that the cost of moving back would be huge, especially when trying to leave low-wage Texas.

I'm staying put. After renting for 2 years following my graduation from college in San Jose, I'm even ready to buy a house.
