Would you be willing to work in Barstow, Needles, or Porterville?

Sorry, we are currently out of any and all jobs in California.

Try again next month.

UCLA just did this study a few months ago.

It shows the number of dentists per 5000 residents in each county. It should help get you started doing your relocation research.

I was going to say SLO Co. since I had to go to three different dental offices in Morro Bay before one would take me. Morro Bay is a pretty nice place to live. After reading that study, I'd personally head to Mariposa Co., nice to live next to Yosemite.

But SLO is a fabulous place to live. If you specialized in pediatrics here, no doubt you'd be golden.

It was a pretty interesting map.

I'd also look at the percentage of dentists nearing retirement in each area.

For example both Mendocino and Humboldt Counties have over 40% of their dentists who have practiced for over 30 years. That may indicate those areas might be opportunities as dentists decide to retire.
