Hello, im 19 years old and right now im atending college in Modesto,ca lived here all my life, i dont like it at all. I like to plan ahead so in about 2 years i will be transferring to a CSU, i want to live in a city not to far away from Modesto because all my family nd friends live there so i want to be a little close to them, maybe 2-4 hours away? Also somewhere with a good nightlife/party life. My dream since i was like 10 was to live in So cal..maybe L.A, Long beach, santa barbara etc. but now that i think about it, i dont want to be to far away from my family.

Look at Turlock or Chico.

Go to Chico. Then move to LA when you graduate and do the "near the beach" thing, then get serious and go wherever your career takes you.

Never trade landscape for a job. Move 50 miles east, cut firewood for a living, find a nice girl that likes to cut firewood for a living, make babies, buy horses and mules go packing.

Chico really is a nice town... still has the college feel and night life but enough commercial stuff to help you not feel trapped. How about Camarillo? Channel Islands would put you close enough for L.A. and the beaches but enable you to get back to Modesto in 4 hours without hassling with L.A. traffic.
