The used motor home we bought has black ( mildew?) on the outside trim of the entrance door. Probably from setting for so long. I have tried everything to remove it with no luck. A lot of stuff will get some of it off but that's probably just the dirt level. Any suggestions?

Two things come to mind, 1) try using a white vinegar water mix. 2) Citrus King (you'll find it on line) does a great job at cleaning our camper before the new season gets rolling.

No luck with the vinegar. Will have to look for the Citrus King stuff. Thanks for trying.

Is this stuff your talking about a whitish green blight, or is it like a green moss that one may find a the roof of a house when there are to many trees and not enough sunshine?

Well since it is on the outside of your camper, we can rule out the type of mold that is usually found in cool dark hidden spaces such as damp basements. If there is any caulking around the affected area, I would try to remove it and then clean up the rest of the black mold that your finding. Re-caulk the area again and try to allow the camper a little more sun to help keep it at bay. just a thought.

Foaming bathroom cleaner from an aerosol can.

Spray on dry surface, let sit for a minute then a light scrub with a damp sponge and quick rinse.

Alternatively, a mix of hot water and ammonia applied with a sponge will often do the trick.

Just be careful with some the so-called cleaners; they may clean the finish right of your aluminum.

Did you try a scouring pad like scotch brite? Or very fine steel wool. If it's tar there is a tar remover. If it's mold, then you should be able to remove it with Clorox. Also they make a magic eraser cleaning pad that is fairly good at removing difficult stuff. SOS is pretty coarse, and I don't think you would get away with it on trim.
