I am curious to know out of all the canadian cities you have lived in, which city do you prefer and why? Why did you choose to live in that city? Just curious to know people's feedback..
Vancouver was too rainy for me. I never lived in Vancouver, but visited lots when we lived in Kamloops. We also lived in Prince George BC, Ottawa, Ontario, Waterloo Ontario, and London Ontario. They all have their pros and cons, but for a mom with young children who wants to make friends and have good smaller schools for her kids, I found London, Ontario to be my favorite.
I love Halifax. It's the perfect size for me, it's friendly, great music scene, and I just love the colourful houses! I have also lived in Toronto and Sudbury.
I've lived in Montreal and Quebec, lived temporarely in Williams Lake BC, Gimli Manitoba, and also some smaller cities... I would say Montreal for the multicultural side. But I'm looking to move out of here so, I guess I'm not the good one to say Montreal is the best to live in ;-)
Luhts, you said London was the best, what about Ottawa? It was'nt easy over there to make friends?
Because Ottawa is so big, finding like-minded friends to meet up with would be harder. However, I grew up in Ottawa, so I didn't move in there as a stranger trying to meet people.
Ottawa is a great city mind you, and I love going back as a tourist, just not sure I would want to live there again. I did live in Kanata as a grown-up and commuting to work from there was a bugger...I would definitely not want to do that again!
I visited St.John's NFLD for what was suppose to be 7 days but ended up being 18 days because I just didn't want to leave.............. a magical place.
I've lived in Ott/Tor/Van/Vic and born and raised in London Ont.
All the cities have wonderful things to offer but if I had to choose it would have to be either London or Toronto.
Montreal. I'd choose it over any city in the world. Hoping to make it there permanently by the end of the decade.
