From the 1950s to the 1980s, many television stations in American cities had locally-produced shows geared towards children. Do you recall such shows in Canada?

This show was produced in Kitchener, Ontario and broadcast all across Canada when I was a kid:

Romper Room Miss Fran 1977 (Part1) - YouTube

The host has apparently undergone quite the personal transformation:

Local kids' shows from the Ottawa area:

Willy and Floyd - YouTube

This one was intended to teach French to anglo kids and was broadcast on an English station:

Marie Soleil chante Le clown Samuel - Douteux.org - YouTube

And another one with a subsequently famous person:

Alanis Morissette - You can't do that on Television - YouTube

Funny that two of these shows at one point had girls I dated in my youth (two different girls) appearing in them at one point.

Johnny Jellybean was a franchised show in the US & Canada. Montreal's version with Ted Ziegler brings back many fond memories.
'Magic Tom', and 'Cliffhanger Theatre' with Jack Curran were also Montreal must-watch for kids.

Oh, wow. Yes, channel 3 every afternoon. I distinctly remember the talking mounted moose head, the cartoons, and the fact that the host interviewed every single kid sitting in the audience.
