True story: my husband and I drove to the graduation ceremony when my brother became an RCMP officer years ago. We weren't late and I wasn't driving but for some reason my husband who WAS driving was in a hurry. We flew across the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border already speeding and for some reason, just a short way in, there was a further drop in speed. I'm not sure why and maybe that still exists. Aaand, you guessed it. We were pulled over.

When the cop came to the car, I leaned over and said, "You're not going to believe this but we are on our way to my brother's graduation from the RCMP."

I really did not think he would believe that one but I guess it sounded bizarre enough to be true because we chatted a while and he sent us on our merry way.
