Tell me about Canadian youth hockey (moving, expensive, winter)

Heya. Still thinking about leaving Wisconsin and moving up there with ya So tell me about Canadian youth hockey. Similar to the US? My boy has been in youth hockey here since age 5...it's something we do to keep busy in winter, and our hockey family has been great. Is he gonna get squished? (He's gonna get squished, isn't he ) He's currently age 11 at the Peewee level.

As for him getting squished? maybe its him who will do the squishing lol , hockey aint for snowflakes its tough/physical and the equipment is expensive and as you go up in levels the potential for injury rises.
