Obviously not a Republican. Any names - Elizabeth Warren? Kamala Harris?

Elizabeth Warren is too white... not Cherokee enough for Canadians.

Kamala Harris is too brashly American in her speaking style... would put off most Canadians.

I wasn't aware that you are a Canadian. For some reason I was sure that you're an American.

Mouldy, I like spunky Gabrielle Giffords for the job. I don't recall if she's a Republican or a Democrat but I think she's sensible and worthy of a lot of respect. I also like Michelle Obama for it but I understand she's said she won't ever consider it. Maybe she'll change her mind when both of her girls are fully grown.

That's a very odd thing to say.

However, to the OP, sane people could apply!

Elizabeth Warren's claim to be Native American helped her get her professorship at Harvard, but has hurt her politically because people perceive that she is a fake... outside of Massachusetts, she would have a hard time nationally.

I forgot to mention this. I think it's important for America to have a woman as president as soon as possible, one who is known to have good morals, is exceptionally well educated, knowledgeable about politics and adept at damage control. I believe it would help America to recoup some of the grace, trust and respect that the current POTUS has lost for America on a global level.

What does that have to do with whom Canadians might prefer as US president?
