I've been hearing lots of positive comments about Jagmeet Singh around here. Whether that will translate into votes this time round remains to be seen.

Canada’s campaigns are genteel compared to ours. AFAIK, no Canadian candidate has been accused of mass murder. Or of wanting “The Handmaid’s Tale”’s Gilead as the ideal society.

Well, ours are shorter. We'd probably be meaner if we had more time to stew.

I'm just glad the campaigning time is short.

Oh my gosh, yes, I remember that! That was ugly.

Agreed. 40 days is long enough, any more than that and I'd be pulling my hair out. Thank goodness today is the 40th day.

After 40 days and 40 nights Canadian Jesus was hungry. The devil tempted him and said, If you really are the son of god turn this poutine into a halal rib eye steak.

Well, my mother in law who lives in a small southern Ontario town, who usually votes Conservative says she voting NDP this time. She likes Jagmeet, and I'm hearing the same out here in Vancouver. Plus Ford helped change her mind.

What's the matter with these stupid politicians today. There are protocols at the end of an election. Starting with those with few seats, they stand up, give a general thank you, congratulate the winner, and so it goes, everyone taking a turn until we hear from the elected Prime Minister.

Quebec Nationalism went first, although he has more seats than NDP. He made it clear that his only interest is what benefits Quebec. Then we had the NDP Socialist who gave an inappropriate victory speech that went on and on and on. There is no victory in 24 seats unless he thinks that he will now control Liberal decisions. He was cut off so we could hear from Conservatives, but that was stopped a few words in because Trudeau stormed his stage very deliberately preventing Conservatives from even offering a congratulations. I look forward to seeing these clowns in action.

Ugly politics!
