I remember this one. Those people certainly deserve a huge round of applause for adopting this cat.
Many years ago, my wife & I had a cat that went blind for the last couple of years of his life. Of course he had lived 9 years or so with sight, so he had a good memory of his environment, but he was amazing to watch. If you didn't know he was blind, you wouldn't be able to tell. He moved around and did everything he wanted perfectly well, and never bumped into anything. At the time, the cats feeding station was on top of a cabinet to keep the Yorkies we had out of the cat food, and I built a small set of stairs so Bo could get up there, as he couldn't see to make the jump. But that's the only thing we had to do for him. Everything else he handled quite well. He was an awesome cat, and I still miss him 15 years later.
Awesome & it shows the redeeming nature still left in folks. He never could see thus never lost what he had. But his unreal ability to be so keen w/out sight is amazing! Thx much for this vid.
