I could tell you about Beau, our previous cat...he is in heaven now...when my daughter was little, she was on oxygen at night, and he would stay right by her, all night, and if she was sick during the day, he stayed right in her bed. He was her "nurse cat". He would watch the nurses come to our house, "supervising" them...he stayed out the way, he would watch from the top of the dresser, but be back in bed with her when they left. They considered him part of the "team", and when doing occupational therapy, he was part of the exercise, she had to stretch to pet him, he would patiently stay there, when she reached out, sometimes, poking him in the eye...He would even inch away from her, to make her stretch more to pet him. I think he knew what was going on...
It's funny. Kitty Katty is such a princess. He will sit there, if he sees me with a camera or my phone and he will pose!!! He is sitting with me now, enjoying being pampered...... Hard life, I tell ya!
She is just beautiful! I showed her picture to Kitty Katty. He sits here and looks at my monitor on my lap top when there are cats on here, it is so funny!
It's so freakin hot out that my cats are inside, down the basement sleeping on thir favorite duvet in the spare bedroom. It's real cool down there. I'll bet at around 9 or so this evening they will saunter upstairs and go outside for the evening. They have to patrol the neighbourhood and make sure no BAD cats have moved in to their territory.
Beau was a remarkable cat. A tabby mix, Siamese. When he went to the rainbow, our entire family had a weekend of grief, my son even flew in for the "service". He took two days off of work, and flew across the country to be with hsi sister. That is real. He wanted to be there for his siter because her cat died. She will always know her brother is there for her.
