I loved him so much. And I feel so stupid that I didn't look down there earlier. I wish I knew waht happende but can only hope he didn't suffer. Thank you all. I am sobbing rihgt now.
Kiacook, I know this is incredibly hard on you, but you will also likely see your other kitty Buddy in emotional pain as well. The first time I lost a kitty as an adult, it was my baby Satay, and her littermate Mabel kept looking for her. It was heartbreaking.
The photos in your album really show how much your kitties were bonded with each other, and it was also clear how much you loved them. I am so, so sorry for your loss.
Rene - did you know where to look for Tucker because someone saw him and called you? That's awesome!
Yes! A neighbor called us when he saw a cat who looked like him. It was a blessing because he had crossed a busy street and was 7 blocks away, in another neighborhood! It took another week before he responded to our names (we searched for hours every day).
If this neighbor hadn't called us, we would never have known to look there.

Ooooh, I am so so sorry. Please don't beat yourself up about this. You did everything you could. I hope, in time, you can forgive yourself and treasure the memories you had together.
I forgot I had that album of Buddy and Sammy pictures - I added a couple more. You are right, they have been best friends since Buddy was a year old and Sammy was a few months. Sammy showed up and adopted Buddy as his big brother, following him everywhere. Sammy took the back yard territory and Buddy took the front yard, but I would often see them visiting each other on the deck or front porch. Inside they were inseparable.
Buddy has been sleeping next to me or more likely on my chest for the last couple of days and especially last night. We are grieving together and comforting each other.
While it is better that you know what happened, this isn't the news anyone was hoping for. You have my heartfelt condolences. Poor little guy
