Default Charlie Sheen booed off stage in live debut

Quote:
DETROIT, Michigan (AFP) – Troubled US actor and Internet sensation Charlie Sheen lay low Sunday after being booed off stage in a chaotic start to a live show mini-tour.

Sheen maintained an uncharacteristic silence on his Twitter feed after fans walked out of his "Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is not an Option" debut show in Detroit on Saturday night.
WINNING........NOT

Well of course he got booed. What was he expected to do? Unless he is putting on a Broadway play, in a movie, in a TV show, or throwing a party not sure why anyone would pay to see him?

First off he's been rich his whole life. Sure he is making money, but if it was all about the money then he would of kept his mouth shut and finished his contract. The big thing was that he just took a huge hit to his ego.

He is not winning. He is making a mockery of himself. I have actually prayed for the guy because I feel he has got huge issues. He is a train wreck and I sincerely hope he jumps off before it crashes. He has been blessed with money and fame and he could do soooo much good with it. Hope he wakes up one day.

From the article link:
Quote:
At the same time he announced his plans for the live tour, which now has more than 20 scheduled dates over the next month, after tickets for the first gigs sold out within 18 minutes.
Before Saturday's show fans had lined up to defend the star, a legendary party animal whose recent crisis came shortly after he ended up in hospital following a marathon bender with five women including a porn actress.
But the mood afterwards was a mixture of disappointment and anger, with some fans talking about asking for their money back.
"Charlie's a big fraud. It was unbelievable, it was the worst show I've seen in my life," said another man, declining to give his name, as he and other headed off into the night.
Sheen's next show was Sunday evening in Chicago.
Something makes no sense here. Why would people BUY the tickets, knowing it was his show, and then BOO him for being retardo Sheen? It isn't like everyone doesn't know his business at this point.
I just wouldn't have bought the tickets in the first place....which would have made a much bigger statement.

I want to feel sorry for Charlie Sheen because he's obviously coming apart....but his public persona (the little I've seen and heard; I don't even own a TV) is so unpleasant that I can't quite muster any sympathy.

A lot in the local news about him being booed and "slinking" off stage and whether the tour will continue as is, get radically changed before the next gig, or what.

I truly don't understand what people were expecting. Charlie Sheen is NOT a professional comedian, he's an actor (and a mediocre one at that) who has a team of writers in the background feeding him funny lines. he's not Conan O'Brien (an actual comedian) who can create a comedy tour after his Tonight Show mess. what exactly were people expecting from this show? more irate rants against Chuck Lorre and Co? we got that for free for weeks! Charlie Sheen was incapable of coming up w/ enough material to sustain a 20 city tour and so of course it will bomb. can't even really blame Charlie; I feel zero sympathy for the people who bought $100-900 tickets to see this mess of a man.
