How long do you think it will be until the Royal Couple calls it quits?

I'm not sure, but I think they have a good chance for a forever marriage because they have known each other for a very long time. They took the time to also date others. They are mature. Both have seen the horrible history of royal divorces and the toll it takes on the kids involved.

Much to be said for 'blooming where you are planted'--lol--I am grateful to England for those who didn't fully agree with some of the traditions--John and Charles Wesley--to name two.

Pomp and circumstance--they clearly thought that wasn't such a good thing.

Candler School of Theology--some independent thinkers there.

Humility--no, I didn't see a lot of that during the marathon coverage. Nobody really seemed to care--I noticed that.

I think it all comes down to how well Kate can deal with never being "one of them". Diana and Charles' marriage was doomed from the start as it was planned and neither one of them really loved the other. Charles needed a young child bearing aristocrat, Diana's family was all too happy to put her in the spotlight and raise their own station. To date only the marriage of Prince Edward has really lasted and much of that is attributable to being far removed from the succession and the burden of being a future monarch.

A lot will be expected of Kate and she needs to sacrifice a lot to maintain the image that the royals want. It has been said many times that life is better as a commoner than a royal in the UK these days. While the media seems to be somewhat more distant with her and William today, what will happen when the Queen dies and William becomes heir to the throne? What will happen among the family as there are several clamorings for Charles to abdicate in Williams favor? How will she handle her children being used as media pawns and being set on a predetermined course? All of that was too much Diana, it's not unthibkable that it would be too much for anyone.

A lot of people have said you can never understand the royals unless you are a royal. Kate, despite the marriage and use of some titles, will never be a royal. Her willingness to change who she is to conform will be what determines how succesful their marriage is. The pressure will only increase when they have children and William assumes the role of direct heir to the throne.

I give them 15 years max. They married on a less than stellar day astrologically----proof of this is E Entertainment said the wedding "bombed". They have an incompatiblity aspect & have already broken up once. It's just barely a love marriage.
