You may not like her politics or still gag over her mistakes while young but she is a great actress and had a very cold and unloving father and a mother who committed suicide. Not easy background to overcome.
Seriously, both of those. Were talking Henry? Was caused her Mom to do herself in?
Man, some people are just STUPID!!! STUPID!!! Mrs. Reagan has become more liberal in many of her views, even when President Reagan was still alive (in his later years). Stem Cell research, gay rights, etc. is where she stands. People should stop trying to hold on to the past and get with the present. Oh, how do I know? Remember, I do bodyguarding on the side and have done some things for the Reagans at their ranch before Pres. Reagan died. I talked to Mrs. Reagan, I KNOW what some of her views are because I heard them from HER!!!
With all that being said, Jane Fonda is an actress. AN ACTRESS!! Im sure she'll bring the same respect for the role of Mrs. Reagan as did Helen Mirren did for playing Queen Elizabeth. I am NOT a Fonda fan, I am a fan of the truth and common sense. This is from a lifelong conservative republican!!!

Henry Fonda suffered from depression. Some who knew him considered him cold. And reports are that he had a huge ego and enjoyed his ladies. He was not considered a warm and fuzzy father and rarely available to his children. He had several marriages during his life.
Jane's mother was in a sanitarium when she took her own life at the age of 42. Her mother also suffered for years from from post natal depression. Jane was then 12, her death hit her hard and she always blamed herself for her mother's death. It was decades later when Jane was in her senior years that she found out her mother had been a victim of abuse.
Robert Duvall played General Robert E. Lee. Must actors portraying Lee be racist secessonists?
Big deal, it's not even a film about Nancy Reagan. This is just a lot of ginned up outrage ...
