Reason: Spelling
Others have said it -- that's why I said "we all know."
I don't like Sofia Vergara's voice because it's loud and nasal and emits a tone I can't put my finger on, but I just dislike. Her laugh seems very forced and loud, as well.
That's why I said "I don't know." You find her voice to be loud and nasal with a tone that you find unpleasant, as well as having a forced and loud laugh, but you don't mention accent at all. That's the kind of information I was looking for. Thank you.
As I said, I find her character on "Modern Family" to be thoroughly irritating, and I've never heard her speak other than on that show, so I really can't say for sure about her vocals.
Remember Bonanza? Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, and Dan Blocker (Hoss) all had great speaking voices. Michael Landon..........well, he didn't necessarily need one because at the time ALL young females were mad for Little Joe.
I just heard him speak for the first time the other day, and this sound grates on my nerves in a way I can't explain. I once met a very nice guy (dated briefly) but literally couldn't stand his voice; something about the tone (similar to this) almost hurt my ears.
A female voice I have loved since I was a kid in the 60s is Raquel Welch's. Even in old age, her voice is the same. When she laughs, I just melt....... just so old fashioned feminine..........
