Courtney Cox 50, is engaged to Johnny McDaid who is 37.
Doesn't seem like a big deal now but 60 and 47? 70 and 57? I just don't see men sticking it out with older women down the road. But at some point I rather shockingly realized that a lot of people don't get married worried about the way down the road future anyway. Sort of take it as it comes serial marriage types.
Yes, I noticed he sort of has his eyes all wide open in his pictures, really skinny face. She is certainly more a celeb/name than him, hope he can handle that.
Maybe ten or a bit longer, if they pass that mark then perhaps it will last twenty or more years, but one has one's doubts.
When a young man takes up with an Old Settler even if she is at the extreme end of that range (50) a woman today can still look rather attractive. But as years pass there is only so much any of us can do to prevent much less reverse aging process. *All* hair turns grey then white, muscle tone decreases, skin sags, dark circles, etc....
Then there is the matters that seem to have played a major role in Demi and Ashton breaking up; sex and reproduction. Men have needs, and the first place a marriage often goes wrong is in the marital bed. When a husband has a yearning for his wife and she's too tired... it won't be long before some young gal is there, right up in there to take up the slack.
The age is not that weird, though it could be problematic, but they could survive and out last predictions. Only the future will tell. Men have been doing this, so women should too. If it works great, if not then it does not.

Persons keep saying "men do it...." but the situations are not exactly the same.
When a man marries a younger woman historically the usual reason was for not only companionship but the production of children. A middle aged or older man was often established in his career and or otherwise financially set and stable than say a twenty-year old boy just out of college/starting out. Since again historically females achieved rank and social status via their husbands, many young women were not that bothered by marrying an "older" man if she would be otherwise compensated.
OTOH historically yes, young men took up with older women, but they didn't marry. Since girls his own age (supposedly) were virgins and saving themselves for marriage a young man's few outlets were either prostitutes or taking an older woman (usually married or a widow) as his mistress/lover.
As noted above the problems with May-December marriages between young men and older women is that unless things are clearly understood (such as the possibility if not certain reality of no children), along with the thing being based on more than physical beauty, it is almost doomed from the start.

While you are right that men tend to have a longer reproductive span, it should be noted that is not true that a 60 year old man can have kids as healthy as say a 30 year old. In fact older fathers have been linked to higher risks of autism and other conditions in children. So it is overblown that an old man can have children just as good as a young man. But lets put aside the talk about having babies, the bottom line is a woman can have sex and a relationship with a younger man. There is nothing that says women are allowed or that its weird for her to bang a young guy. Nothing! I am 27, and could very well marry a 39 year old woman, and it does not mean that the relationship is doomed then if I married a woman in my age group.
I should also add that is total B.S that men age better than women, most middle aged men are not hot stuff at all. And there are quite a few older women who look good after 40.
