"Yoko Ono has told how being blamed for The Beatles’ split made her feel like she was on trial for murder.
She said: ‘It feels like I was accused of something that I didn’t do, which was breaking up The Beatles. It’s like you’re accused of murder and you’re in prison and you can’t get out.’
Nah, it was inevitable they'd go their separate ways--they all wanted to do their own thing and even released solo projects before the breakup. John was doing experimental music with Yoko, and George wanted to escape the shadow of Lennon-McCartney. By 1968 they pretty much wrote their music apart and used the others as a backup band when it came time to record. They were barely a band, and that had nothing to do with Yoko. She gets a bad rap.
Paul, who fought in vain to keep the Beatles together towards the end of their run, was actually the first to quit the group.
I don't think she is responsible for the band splitting up, many bands do, even if they are super popular. They all did great things post Beatles, so it's a non issue anyway.
As for liking her... there's something about her that I just don't trust. Something in her eyes that says "sneaky" or something.
I don't know much about her. She looks unattractive, drab, and uninspiring. She obviously has other inner qualities that are influential and good, but I've never been interested in finding out what those traits are.
Don't know if she broke up the Beatles and don't care. My inclination is to believe that she had less of a role than people thought. When musicians work together in a band for so long, there's obviously going to be conflict. They can get sick of each other, and I think the members of that group decided it was time.
