Shannon Doherty's cancer has spread. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum revealed the latest development in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight that was published Monday, August 1.
"I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes. So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I'll do radiation," Doherty, 45, said.
I hope she will be able to fight this ultimate battle. Not really a fan, but I do feel for her and her family, and I feel for anyone who has to fight cancer. I wish her all the best.
I've heard that Shannon Doherty has a somewhat strong and often objectionable personality - now is the time for her to use that strength and kick cancer's butt.
This really was a jolt to read. She went through hell the first time, only to have it now return even worse. I hope her years since the first occurance have been good for her until now. And that she is comfortable and pain free
as possible going forward.
Foxy wasnt expressing pleasure at her illness. It does mean her time is limited based on things Shannen said and the fact the cancer is terminal. Its all awful, im sure everyone is hoping for a miracle but the odds are overwhelmingly not good in cases like these. Life is often unfair, and people today are getting cancer at increased rates and at younger ages also. I wont drift the subject but there are a few theories as to why that have been discussed in other parts of the forum.
