Yeah. Okay.
Apparently the incident happened on federal land or park which has limits or bans on alcohol. Also refusing the test at first might come into play because in some states you can lose license for refusing test.

I don't quite get that. Every piece of land falls under some authority and will have limits on alcohol limit.
If his blood alcohol was 0.02, it really is nothing and seems very silly.

What Federal law is it that makes 0.02 blood alcohol level an infraction?

He was on state property, that''s not allowed because of COVID. My son and his Jeep friends were ticketed doing the same thing near my house. They found somewhere else to drive their Jeeps.

I'll have to ask my son what kind of fine he had, it was a few months ago.

Thats very little alcohol registered. Sounds like one of those special laws for a specific area. I had doubts that him, at 71 and not having a history of wild partying was actually drunk behind the wheel. Hes not a member of Motley Crue. Hes Bruce. He was born to run.

My son's fine was $250, mandatory zoom court so they could talk about the fine which went up to $1,000 I think. Bruce can expect a fine too

Bruce actually doesn't drink to get drunk because his father was a drunk. The most he will do is have a drink or shot to be sociable.
