let's.. Not make it about that, shall we? He's gone, and regardless of how.. It's a time to remember him and his works.

Totally agree.

His legend and music will live on. That's the focus.

I was never a huge fan of his but it's still sad that he's dead.

Yeah, I never cared for his music but he did have talent.

Did you read where he was originally from Dallas? A Texas boy.

I remember his 1993 comeback hit “I’d do anything for love” very well. The video for the song was aired many times on MTV in the fall of that year. Great song and great performer!

"Bat Out of Hell" was one of my vinyls i played and played and played back in the day...

I can still remember laying in bed to the music, and the sound of the records falling down from the stack on the turntable. Those were the days.

Loved Meat Loaf, his songs, his shows, his acting and how he showed his heart and soul on Celebrity Apprentice. Been following him on Facebook a long time and he always shared his love for the fans, his family and his song writing partner.

I probably wasn't being very politically correct when I taught my kids all the words to Paradise so we could sing together on road trips. Or how my youngest would only stop crying when we put her in the swing and played side 1 of the Bat out of Hell cassette tape.

And I did cry a bit myself this morning when I read the post on Facebook. RIP Meat.
