I could be wrong, but it seems to me this longtime talk-show host and former big-band singer is largely forgotten today.

I remember him. I think I even remember the show where a 3 year old Tiger Woods was on.

Do you remember the Jack Paar Show? He had such interesting people on. Not movie stars, but men Like Truman Capote and others who could just sit and tell stories.

I remember Mike Douglas, David Frost, Dick Cavett, Merv Griffin and Dinah Shore.

Dinah Shore had Sylvester Stallone on her show when Rocky ori. was released.

These talk shows were great, I enjoyed watching them thought the guests were interesting. Also, there were many family shows that came on in the evening, Sonny and Cher was my fav !

Mike Douglas was probably the host of that type that I liked the least. I much preferred Merv Griffin.

I used to watch both Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin. They were both good day-time talk show hosts.
