The actor Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment, authorities said.
New York City police said that Majors, star of the recently released “Creed III" and “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. Police responded around 11 a.m. to a 911 call inside an apartment in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea.
“The victim informed police she was assaulted," a spokesperson for the NYPD said in a statement. "Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”
He was no longer in police custody as of Saturday night, the NYPD spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press. A representative for Majors denied any wrongdoing by the actor.

what will disney do regarding jonathan majors? will the management fire him based on accusations by the woman who claimed the abuse? i don't think firing a person and ruining a person's reputation based on accusations alone is wise or fair.
on the other hand, if majors did try to strangle her and hit her as she has alleged, he deserves to be fired.
I did not know who Jonathan Majors was until my uncle mentioned him to me a few months ago. He is a rising star, and now it seems that star has already been dulled.

For Marvel, Majors, as the next big thing doing different aspects of the Kang character in every outing, a third due in Loki's second season on Disney+, was supposed to be the franchise draw. Having different actors take those roles breaks their entire ideal.

As I understand it Majors' team says she did along with security video of the incident and the statement of other witnesses. But New York is going ahead with the case so there is no quick resolution in sight.

Entertainment 360’s decision to drop Majors was preceded by the actor’s PR team at The Lede Company, who dumped him as a client at some point in the last few weeks.

The jury decided that the now-former Marvel actor was guilty of recklessly assaulting in the third degree and harassing in the second degree his former girlfriend. Jurors acquitted Majors of intentional assault in the third degree and second-degree aggravated harassment.
Prosecutors said Majors assaulted Jabbari after she read a romantic text message that had been sent to his phone by another woman as the pair rode inside the private car service SUV in March. Majors allegedly grabbed Jabbari’s hand so hard he fractured her middle finger and also allegedly struck her face with an open hand and pushed her into a vehicle. She was hospitalized for minor injuries and documented them in photos that were shared with the jury.
Earlier in the case, each charge was tied to a specific action, such as the allegation of Majors twisting Jabbari’s arm back or fracturing her middle finger. However, before the trial, prosecutors decided to group the charges together in the more general terms of inside and outside the car...
