On this day in 1987, Rickman performed in 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses', a Broadway play that was instrumental in launching his career.
Loved him as an actor, and he was sexy as hell.
He was one of my favorite actors, and I agree, he was sexy as hell.
Many years ago, myself and about 4 other women I knew decided that I would write a fan letter (of sorts) to Mr. Rickman, via his agent. In the letter I explained that I and my friends were big big fans, and we invited him to come visit us, staying a week or so at each one of our houses. We would not force him to do anything he didn't want to do, but we were all quite willing to do anything HE wanted to do, wink wink nudge nudge.
I wrote that we would share him, and we would cook for him, but it was perfectly fine if he wanted to take us out to dinner as well...totally his call. I followed up with "We're looking forward to hearing from you so we can finalize all the details."
I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that we never heard a word. LOL
Oh gosh, one of my all time favorite movies! I get teary just thinking about the ending when he and his friends are watching her be happy with the other guy.
