He was best known for his role as Paulie in the Rocky movies, but he was in so many more films and TV shows. I always thought he was a better actor than he was given credit for.
No offense, but my first reaction was.. "He was still alive?"
Guy had a heck of a career, too, it would seem. Looks like he averaged being in about 5 movies a year.
His wife died in 1974. So, he spent 50 years as a widower.
Last week I was watching an episode of the Rockford Files and Burt Young guest starred. I happened to look it up while I was watching and was surprised he was still around. Very talented actor.
Burt Young was great as Bobby Bacala, Sr. in the Sopranos. It was too funny, a made man and hitman who was a wheezer. Guy had to take hits from his inhaler while doing a job.

Honestly, that was my reaction also. I loved that guy, but I thought he was older. He looked older than he was in the Rocky movies or just in general. Interesting, memorable and talented actor, RIP.

I'm trying to remember him in Convoy, it's been eons since I've seen it. I guess I need a refresher.
