The thread started out as a list of old-school crooners and comedians. I took to mean that the time range started with the 1940's and extended to the 1960's due to the mention of Rich Little, who started his career in the mid 1960's (although he was more famous during the 1970's).
Not to go all thread police, but it seems to have expanded to any person in the entertainment industry who is still alive and part of the Silent Generation.
I've seen Clint Eastwood in both Paint Your Wagon and Every Which Way but Loose - and the man is neither a crooner nor a comedian.

She's not a crooner or a comedian and she's not over 85 but I recently saw an interview with Donna Mills who is 83 years old now and she could easily pass for being in her 60's and maybe even her 50's. She still looks very recognizable and is still beautiful.
Since Paul McCartney is 81, Mick Jagger is 80, Ringo, Tom Jones & Neil Diamond are all 83, I'm not sure if there are any *old guard crooners*.
When Ringo leaves the earth, I'm toast.
You're right....Robert Blake died last year....and he didn't sing.....
though some "non-singer" celebrities still get to record albums if they are popular enough,
like William Shatner did (circa 1967)...his singing so bad, it's good!
Rita Moreno is still alive ....she was at tonight's Oscars....
I think might be mixing her up with Chita Rivera...she died a couple of months ago.
Speaking of the Oscars.....and I still watch every year ....but it is nowhere near as great
as back in the day, those were real stars back then....most movie stars today I wouldn't
recognize if I walked by them on the street.
What gets me is seeing some of these names of the singers. I listened to a lot of them when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s because my parents bought the records. They grew up in the big band era, so I heard a lot of that music too, and still enjoy listening to it. I grew up listening to Petula Clark (friend of mine sneaked his dad's Playboy out and showed me her pictures when we were 12 or 13. lol) and Dionne Warwick. Can't believe Paul Simon is 82! Pat Boone had a one night revival in a tobacco sale floor (only place big enough to handle the crowd) and sang some too.
Petula Clark was in Playboy? She was so wholesome!
