I heard that Heath Ledger had such a hard time sleeping at night because of how dark his character was in the new batman movie "Dark Knight". His character was so twisted and dark. Which ended up causing his accidental death of too many sleeping pills because he has such a hard time sleeping. Has anyone else heard something similar?
At the time of his death I saw a piece somewhere (can't remember - possibly NY Daily News) about Jack Nicholson warning Heath about dangers in playing the Joker. I have googled around since and have not been able to find anything about that story.
I don't know ... he was a party boy. He and Michelle Williams broke up because of it. Not saying that he consumed himself into his joker role a bit much, but nobody on press junket interviews seems to think so. Heath liked to party and I'm sure that his body was telling him to slow down and he wouldn't.

Nope, don't believe it. Dude was an ACTOR. His job was to PLAY a role, not go out and actually believe he was evil incarnate. Did he freak out, playing the Brokeback Mountain role? Did he become gay b/c of that? No, he was acting.
I do not believe this one bit. Did you read all those drugs that were found at the scene, and in his body? NO ONE needs THAT much medication to get to sleep. No one, not even coal miners, or others who have a MUCH more stressful job. I enjoyed his acting, and think it is very sad for his family that he died, but, no. I would not use the excuse "I was playing a demonic villian in a movie about comic book characters and that is why I had to have an entire flippin' pharmacy on my nightstand".
Sorry. He messed around with drugs and sadly, paid the price. He was brilliant as the Joker, but that is NO excuse to feed your head the way he did.

This was salacious speculation in the press strictly to sell a story.
seriously the entire notion is just ridiculous. Come on, people OD everyday. Celebrity or not. People have insomnia for various reasons too. I have it and I don't have a clue why. He's dead, deceased, gone. Why conjur up crazy reasons why.
