This just came into breaking news!!!! The news from LA is that Estelle Getty from "The Golden Girls" has died. Three days before her 85th b-day. She will be missed! I loved her character Sophia!
That's so sad! I heard that the reason she did not appear on the TVLand awards is b/c she was hit hard w/dementia and no longer recognized those closest to her. She wasn't doing well at all. Still very sad.
I hate to hear this news too. I grew up in the 80's so watching The Golden Girls is a memorable part of my childhood, and so is Estelle Getty aka "Sophia". I have all of the GG seasons on DVD.
