Another consequence of Microsoft's plan to make "one OS to rule them all!"

I think Windows 8 will ultimately be ranked alongside Windows ME and Vista, as a complete failure. If the OS cannot determine whether or not the device is a computer or a smartphone, I shutter to think what other problem may arise.

So basically, these guys tried to hack the OS, causing the UEFI to show up. So it was doing exactly what it was supposed to be doing. If anything this should be telling you that the OS runs on the same kernel the full version of 8 runs on. That is bad thing?

How is this different than iOS or Android running on a tablet?

Clueless

It seems like you're blaming this on Microsoft. When a user hacks his phone and disables hardware checks, it's not unusual to experience erratic behavior. It's not like this error came up on normal usage.
