probably not unless they install some network analyzing tool on the cellular tele-fone.

the isp that the cellular tele-fone is connected to would be able to monitor network usage and law enforcement could subpoena that info (maybe the owner is allowed request logs of internet usage without court-order. i dunno').

The answer is obvious. It’s not ok without permission. Second, your company issued phone is tracked for every call, text and data usage. It shows up on the monthly bill. If you want to watch nature videos on your phone just use your own data plan. Not worth getting fired. While your employer might not be able to tell which “nature videos” you’ve been watching, you will be questioned about the 20 gigs a month you are using on the company’s phone.

My theory is if the OP has to ask, don't do it.

I can only tell you that before I retired, my employer gave all of us company Blackberries (when they were hot), and they could track every communication we made. They couldn't hear what was being said, but they knew who we were calling or being called by.

Haha....just don't do it. Why would you want them to question you as to why you using their hotspot for. Unless you have some kind of business justification, then don't do it. Problem solved. Moving on...
