The articles are mostly saying it's a problem with Iphones 6 and 6+.

But can the 8.0.1 affect ipads? There was a release of 8.0 for both pads and iphones, just a week ago. Some articles said 8.0 was a problem for some ipad2 users.

In other words, was 8.0.1 just for iphones but also for pads?

From what I've seen it's only the phone that's affected.

It was just the iPhone 6 and 6+ that were affected. Apple went ahead and just recalled it as a whole anyway. They'll probably be releasing 8.0.2 next week sometime. I'm really surprised by this level of screwing up coming from Apple. It's not what I've come to expect from them.
