I charged my new phone to 100 percent and in 8 hours it is almost down to 0 percent battery. I haven't been talking or texting except may 15 minutes or so. I also noticed that the home button gets very warm occasionally.
I took my phone back to Verizon and the guy there said he charges his phone 3 or 4 times day. He said it is not unusual for the battery to drain this fast. I don't remember my other phone doing this - is this really normal?
Thanks!

Go to Settings -> General -> Usage -> Battery Usage
Something's not right. My 6 can make it a couple days of moderate use.
I think something is wrong too. Guess I will take it back again.
I'd suggest you call Apple Support; you'll get a much higher level of expertise, in my opinion.
Did you buy Apple Care? I always get it whenever getting a new device.
In any event, as you've just gotten the phone, you have 90 days Support anyway.
Since it is a new iPhone, you can call Apple and talk to a technician free of charge. You will need your iPhone's serial number. Also, you can have can have a chat, or just have an Apple technician calling you at your convenience. I just contact Apple online since it's much easier that way.
I have an iPhone 5s and charge the battery once each night. The iPhone's 6 battery is supposed to last longer than the one on the 5s.
That's only about 3 hours off the 9 hr 23 mins usage I got on mine. (See above screenshot)
